10 00 Sergeant Buzfuz
Tonight Sergeant Buzfuz unveil their fifth album ‘Go To The Devil And Shake Yourself’ which chronicles the story of the papacy from St Peter to the early 15th century. "Popes manages to be political, amusing, adventurous, intelligent and incredibly memorable, features which are rare in isolation, and seldom ever found in the same song at the same time. It’s quirky without being whacky, imaginative without being self-indulgent, and funny without being throwaway. It may even at times make you feel angry." (Sweeping The Nation)

11 00 deXter Bentley and the JERMS
Now a quintet, Richard deXter Bentley, presenter of Resonance FM’s Hello Goodbye show and possessor of fine folk-soul tenor voice and the JERMS, spinners of delicious warm acoustica, sing beguiling songs about everything from taking a girl who hogs the candy floss to the beach to the death of NY Doll Arthur Kane. The latter, a 7 inch white vinyl Blang release prompted The Mag to praise its “great mini-climaxes spread throughout it's four and a bit minutes” (steady on!) and caused the Norman Records reviewer to speculate “I'd like to think he looks like David Essex and has an eye for the ladies!”

Singer Richard Batchelor breaks out of self-imposed Parisian exile, to be joined by Stephen A Wood, Talya S Davies and Bozwell Feign, to promote their new limited-edition mini-album, "Spontane 3", which, rather logically for the Spontane, is their third album, hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed "Spontane Time" and "Hit The Town", and appearances on such fab compilations as the Blang "Fruit Machine" album, and Guided Missile's "Hits And Missiles", among many others... They will be playing selections from "Spontane 3", as well as old favourites; rockers, rollers, slowies and strollers. It’s Spontane time again!

10 00 Sheepy (Predator EP launch)
Alan McGee would have sold his drugs and leather trousers and commandeered a taxi to Liverpool had he heard Sheepy in the heyday of Creation Records. The lyrics are a mix of innocence and urban observation. The music stands effortlessly with the best of that city’s pop music heritage over the last 50 years. His first single on Blang, Predator, is a punk-pop joyride but that’s just the start. There’s a lot more to come from this skinny young Scousepop dreamer.

Molly's Bar is more upbeat with a chorus which impales itself in your head from first listen...Like Belle And Sebastian with the 'twee' trimmed off, perfect for the summer, and one of their best singles to date" (Sounds XP)
